Overview[]
Ethan Allfire is found in the player's default deck at the start of the game. For a creature of merely 1 Magic cost, it boasts pretty high attack stats. With an attack of 5 damage, it packs a decent punch. The downside to this card is its low defense; it can and will be easily overrun by pretty much every other card.
Tips[]
Ethan Allfire can be used well if there is an open lane, allowing you to deal lots of direct damage to your opponent's health.
While it can dish out loads of damage, it can't take much in return. Hence it is advisable to back it up with a building card, such as the Astral Fortress, to increase its defense.
Counter[]
In general, it would be wise to eliminate Ethan Allfire quickly to deny it any chance of landing a hit on your creatures. With its low defense, a hit from any of your creatures will suffice.
Alternatively, you could choose to use a spell card, such as Cerebral Bloodstorm , or a creature's floop ability, such as Wandering Bald Man , to remove it from the field. This will gift you a direct hit on your opponent in your battle phase.

The increased stats don't really make him any less fragile, as most things will still kill him in one shot, however with 7 attack he is much more of a threat, and able to kill off even more powerful enemies.
